Steve Fry, president of the Appalachian TU chapter has asked us to remind our chapter members of the upcoming Tellico River Clean-Up on March 14, 2015. I have spoken with chapter member's in our area TU chapters  who have helped in the past with this 100+people outing from various groups and volunteer organizations who love the Tellico river and it's resoursces.

Tellico River Area Clean-up.  Please join us for the Annual Tellico River Cleanup on Saturday, Mar. 14.  The sign-in starts at 8:00 a.m. at the Tellico Ranger District Office.  Please sign in.  Wear appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Trash bags will be available at the sign in.  After a couple of hours of work, a Free Hot Dog lunch will be provided for all participants (starting by 11:00) at the Tellico River Road Check-in Station compliments of the Chattanooga Trout Association.  Free camping will be available at McNabb Group Campsite on North River Road for participants on Friday and Saturday nights.  After lunch TU members are encouraged to go see the TWRA Southern Brook Trout Hatchery at the Pheasant Fields Trout Rearing Facility.  For more information contact Steve Fry (text) 423-432-2210 or (email) fryfisherman@gmail.com
