"DAY on the WATER" SUNDAY AUGUST 9TH-METCALF BOTTOMS -SMOKY MOUNTAINS

"FISHIN WITH NO MISSION"!

The title above says it all, on Sunday August 9th, 2020 we will meet at the Metcalf Bottoms Pavilion area just off Little River Rd. in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Many of you know the Metcalf Bottoms Picnic area but for those who do not it is approximately 8 miles from the Townsend entrance of the Park going up Little River Rd. towards Gatlinburg.

Starting at 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM it will be a day of relaxation, fishing and enjoying time in the Park. Come for an few hours or spend the day. You decide, it is your "Day on the Water", bring the family or friends all are welcome.

WHAT TO BRING: Pack a sandwich or picnic basket, fishing gear if you want to fish and license, camp chair for sitting. Sun screen, rain jacket, adult beverages are allowed only in the Pavilion area, personal hand sanitizer

WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE: The GSM chapter will provide canned soft drinks, water, individual bags of potato chips, and a variety of individual snack cakes. We will try to provide ample hand sanitizer, bathrooms with soap and running water are in the picnic area.

SOCIAL DISTANCE GUIDELINES:

We will follow the appropriate guidelines when in the Pavilion area. We ask you to bring a facemask or sun buff and to maintain the 6ft rule when sitting or standing in the Pavilion area. Bring your own sandwich or picnic basket which allows us to safely have food while not compromising food handling issues. The individual items provided by the GSM TU chapter listed above will dispersed by a chapter member using gloves to minimize handling and cross-contamination.
