On October 22 at our last meeting at Blackhorse Pub we had a standing room crowd to hear our special guest Dan Moneymaker demonstrate and talk to us about his new company Healing Waters Fly Company. Dan, a Vietnam veteran and an original member of the Knoxville Project Healing Waters chapter in just three short years has gone from someone rarely leaving home to becoming a spokesperson, a subject of a UT-Knoxville film called "Teach A Man To Fish" (link below), and now starting a company that specializes in fly tying. His volunteer work with Project Healing Waters, the Veterans Administration, the Clinch River TU and numerous other group is the perfect example of what Project Healing Waters is about; and the work it does daily working with our veterans!
