Last weekend the Atlanta Fly Fishing Show was the venue for the Southern Trout “Legends of the Fly” Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The event was well attended and the responses of all six recipients of the awards were very touching and heart felt. Master of Ceremonies, John Reinhardt, was at his best making the induction memorable.

The Atlanta Fly Fishing show was even bigger than last years and of course the "LEGENDS of the FLY" 2018 Hall of Fame sponsored by "SOUTHERN TROUT" magazine capped the event off with the presentation to the six new inductees. It was definitely special this year as all the new members hail from the Tennessee-North Carolina Smokies region including our own Byron Beagley and Walter Babb

It was a weekend of complete fly fishing immersion as we almost ran from booth to booth trying to see it all and catch as many seminars as we could. The latest fishing gear to casting demos and fly tying were on display and ran non stop for two days. The best part Ben Furimsky the show promoter has already started the planning for the 2019 show. Seeing old friends and catching up along with meeting new ones made the weekend even better and I hope everyone can attend next year's Atlanta Fly Fishing show!
