MAY 15-17TH GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS OUTDOOR EXPO-GATLINBURG TN

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED-MAY 15-17-GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS OUTDOOR EXPO-Gatlinburg Convention Center-Gatlinburg, Tennessee

We have been given a great opportunity to spread the Trout Unlimited message on Friday May 15th, through Sunday May 17th in Gatlinburg at the Gatlinburg convention center at the Great Smoky Mountains Outdoors Expo. This show has over 100 booths already assigned and we were fortunate that the show promoter and hunting guide Ken Moody gave me a free booth to promote TU. This show gives us a chance to meet and interact with boaters, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts like ourselves that we may not normally come into contact with. I just spoke with Ken for the umpteenth time and I am as pumped as him, with exhibits ranging from trick bow experts and presentations from Southern Trout magazine and outdoors writer, Don Kirk this show should be big.

What the show needs now is YOU! We are asking for volunteers to help staff the booth over the 3-day run, we need people to work a 3-4 hour  shift and simply tell your story to people who ask what Trout Unlimited is about and what it means to you. You do not have to be a grizzled trout bum to help in fact our message is simple, we have in TU,every demographic there is and we want others to realize what a great organization for everyone from youth, to families to enjoy the world of fishing and conservation.

I have invited the other chapters, the Little River & Clinch River to help out with staffing also. The show hours are Friday 10am- 6pm, Saturday 9am-6pm, Sunday 9am-4pm. I will be setting up the table Friday before 10am and picking up exhibitors badges from the show office at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, Address: 234 Historic Nature Trail, Gatlinburg, TN 37738.

Please send me an email here to john711111@yahoo.com or call me at 556-3141 to schedule a time to help or if any questions. Spend a few hours helping than enjoy the expo and Gatlinburg!

The parking is in Gatlinburg so you know there are areas near the convention center that ranges from paid parking behind Calhouns to street side parking on the next street down on River Rd. Another option is the parking deck across from the old Hard Rock location at the beginning of town and take the trolley!
