THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 20TH, 6PM 3 RIVERS ANGLER

3 Rivers Angler and the Great Smoky Mountain chapter of Trout Unlimited are happy to host John Smolko on Thursday, September 20th at 6pm. In addition to being the “Welcome Back to Fall” chapter meeting for GSMTU chapter meeting, John will be giving a talk on how to better photograph your outdoor adventures.

A lifelong outdoorsman, John has over two decades’ experience outside in a wide array of pursuits, ranging from climbing Mt. Rainier to offshore sailing. After obtaining a B.S. Industrial Engineering from the University Tennessee at Knoxville, John decided the desk life wasn't right for him and committed to pursuing a career in the outdoor industry. Along the way, he has been fortunate to travel the United States and the world, fishing, hunting, and documenting these trips while representing some of the top brands in the industry.

John plans on covering:

-Camera Basics (advantages of each type, storage options)
-Framing Shots (cropping, not cutting heads off, etc.)
-Getting creative with images
-Safe handling of fish throughout the process
-Holding fish for photos

Come hungry as we will be serving free pizza and beverages (beer/soft drinks) starting at 6PM. We look forward to seeing everyone and thanks to our hosts 3 Rivers Angler for a great evening!
