In September the past three years the Little River TU chapter has a fishing weekend in the Smokemont campground in the Great Smokies Park on the North Carolina side. Just like the Cataloochee trip in spring it is a Friday& Saturday over-nighter. If you would like to participate please let me know ASAP so I can reserve a group site for our chapter in the same area. This is a popular area and goes fast due to it's proximity to Cherokee about five miles away. If you are an RV/trailer camper you will need to make your own reservations as we use the group sites, there are RV/camper sites with power within walking distance of the group sites. This is a weekend of fishing the Oconaluftee and Bradley Fork area which are centered right in the campground. There are bathrooms with sinks and flush toilets but no showers. We do have some people who opt to rough it in Cherokee in a hotel, but be mindful we will make fun of you!
