"BATTLE OF GATLINBURG 2018"  WINNERS & RESULTS
Quick note of thanks to everyone who came out to the "BATTLE OF GATLINBURG 2018" Saturday. Whether you were a competitor, stream monitor, sponsor, or attendee your participation was greatly appreciated!

Congratulations to the winners: 1st Place-Roger Wilson, 2nd Place-Peyton Bodo, 3rd Place-Josh Stinnett, and 4th Place-Brian Pendergrass; thanks to our top four finishers and to all our anglers who made this event possible. We had our first father and son team compete and take first and second place. Peyton Bodo our 2nd place winner, also represented our youngest angler ever at 13 years old, I can now say I have seen the future and both times it was named Peyton!

Thanks to the City of Gatlinburg Parks Department for stocking the stream through downtown with some great fish including a 17 inch, a 16.5 inch, and a 13.5 inch trout that were caught and released. All fish were returned to the water safely to give someone their chance at fishing for trout right in the center of Gatlinburg.

We truly had lightning in a bottle with stream conditions, weather, and the sheer number of fish caught and released. Total fish in inches caught by the anglers was 1,975.5 inches of rainbow trout; that is 164.62 feet of trout...astounding in a 3 hour timeline.
