THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED!!-"KIDS FISH FREE DAY" ON THE CLINCH
A big thank you goes out to all who helped with the Clinch River TU chapter's "KID'S FISH FREE DAY 2016". We had another great morning of introducing new young anglers to the joy of fishing this year. it was a perfect summer day of fishing, learning to tie flies, practicing casting and then putting new skills to use. This was followed by a hot dog lunch with all the fixins and a drawing where a group of young anglers had a chance to take home a new rod.
Each year this event is held at Millers Island on the Clinch River in conjunction with TVA and TWRA. These agencies help with stocking trout for this day along with a special river flow to get these kids out in the water and fishing from drift boats and canoes.
It is an honor to work with the Clinch chapter along with our two other local TU chapters to make this special day happen. Again, thanks to all!
