How about some great positive news from a UT-Knoxville campus student organization! Last Thursday, February 24, 2016 the "VOLS on the FLY" chapter affiliated with the Trout Unlimited 5Rivers program on college campuses across the country gathered at a local restaurant to tie flies for over 3 hours. At the conclusion the large collection of flies were gathered to be donated to the Project Healing Waters Veterans chapter here in Knoxville, TN.

We are honored to be asked and chosen along with the LRO TU chapter to mentor these young men and women as they become a part of the fly fishing and TU experience. This was their first community outreach program of the year and was a big success!

Since their official recognition by the university this fall as a student group, they have taken part in clean-ups and other TU chapter events and now their own organized event. The 5Rivers TU program is now on over 50 colleges across the country and more starting everyday!.
