This is one of the biggest  days of the year, whether you volunteer or bring bring the family, neighbors or friends. This long running event is sponsored by the Clinch River TU chapter, in co-ordination with TWRA and TVA. This is the most affordable way to introduce a child to fishing, whether fly fishing or using a spinning rod, it is truly all free that day. No fishing license for the kids are required, fly rods and flies along with spinning rods and bait are provided.  Top it off with a free hot dog lunch, with chips and drinks and you have the best family friendly day of the year.

If you would like to volunteer that day shoot me an email tojohn711111@yahoo.com and I will get a list of all who want to help that day to the Clinch co-ordinators. Also if  you have a boat, whether a drift boat, jon-boat, v-hull or rowboat; we are always needing more boats to get to the kids out on the water. TVA restricts the flow that day and TWRA stocks the river in that stretch to help make sure it is a safe and fun day for the kids!  Last year, Weston, the young man who we are sponsoring this year for Trout Camp caught his first trout that day and is now a member and volunteer along with his father Robert of our chapter. This day nets results and puts a smile on everyone's face!
